Messenger Brook Farm

Messenger Brook Farm began as Lisa’s high school senior project back in 1987. The class assignment was to “build” something whether it be a home, business or in Lisa’s case, her dream stable. The assignment task was to create a budget, find an actual piece of land, do a cost analysis, furnish it and create a feasibility statement. The class was given an entire month to finish the project. Lisa’s was completed in less than a week. She chose a piece of property adjacent to her parents home which had a mountain stream running through it. In doing research on the property Lisa discovered that the stream had a name and Messenger Brook Farm was born. Lisa earned an A+ on that project.

Messenger Brook Farm is currently located on six acres in Bethel, NC just north of Greenville. We have a four stall shed row Barnmaster barn with tack room and grooming/wash area. Each stall is 12 x 12 with mats and the barn is equipped with an automatic fly system. There are also two smaller paddocks with run in sheds attached. The comfort, safety, and happiness of the horses is the top priority of Messenger Brook Farm. Future plans include the addition of a small covered arena in front of the barn area which will ensure that any coaching work or workshops can be facilitated without fear of weather interruption.
